Rae: Well, okay so I’m a little late this time. Sue me. XD
Leave me alone, I haven’t been feeling very good lately. ^^;;
Hm.
Well I’m bored. Lalalala.
*stares at ff.net*
....
*blink*
Man, fanfiction.net has gone to hell in a hand basket. O.o;;;
I swear, there are like no good ToS fics on there. At all. Well, so maybe I’ve found one or two, but for the most part... x_x;;;
Plus I can almost never find the pairing I like. I mean if you like Lloyd/Colette and Zelos/Sheena, good for you. Whatever. I really couldn’t care less. (Also seems to be a lot of Lloyd/Sheena and ...a few Zelos/Colette? O.o;; ...)
However. I wish more English speaking people would like the Zelos/Lloyd pairing. Sure when I surf Japanese sites, I find TONS of Zelos/Lloyd fanarts, etc, but it seems the majority of English speaking ToS fans are *sigh* homophobic. -_-;;;;; *mutter*damn homophobic losers*mutter*
I don’t care if you think I’m crazy or not, I find the Zelos/Lloyd pairing adorable. I don’t know why, but I fell instantly in love with it. I can’t help it.
And I still say it’s hinted at pretty strongly in the game. Especially if you get the Zelos ending, but hell even in the Colette ending I could still see it...
I mean COME on. Look at this pic:

Now. Tell me they aren’t cute together. And yes that IS an actual screenshot from the game.
(By the way, I can’t remember where I got this pic. I think I may have accidentally stolen it from someone on livejournal. I meant to write the person’s screen name down or something, but forgot I think. So if I stole this from you I’m sorry, don’t kill meee. T_T It’s just such a cute pic....Gomen Nasai!! *bows repeatedly*If this is your pic, email me and I shall credit you, neh?)
You know what? I think that another problem I have with a lot of ToS fans is the fact that they just don’t seem to get that Zelos isn’t that carefree pervert he pretends to be.
Zelos Wilder is emotionally fucked in the head people. Big time. And for some reason most people seem to completely overlook that.
Zelos is not happy. Not carefree. And he’s not a pervert either. He just plays the part. It always irritates me how in so many fanfics he is portrayed as a shallow hentai, when that simply isn’t the case at all.
Zelos is a very deep person. Not to mention uber angsty and suicidal O.o
...
So yeah.
I could go on, but I’m not making any sense I’m sure. (When do I?)
In conclusion, there aren’t enough English speaking Zelos/Lloyd fans, Zelos/Lloyd is one of my OTP’s, hell favorite pairing period, and I don’t care if you disagree with me or not. Because frankly I don’t give a damn what anyone thinks. So there you stupid fanfiction.net fangirl losers. You bash the few people who do write shounen ai, so now I bash you. XD
I love Zelos/Lloyd. Don’t know why, just do. And if you think that makes me weird, well.... all well. I honestly don’t care. ^_^
...
Sorry about that. Fanfiction.net just really pisses me off. ^^;;;;;;
I guess it’s because the majority of ff.net writers are juvenile thirteen year old sugar junkies or something. Not always though. Don’t take offense if you post on ff.net. I have seen a lot of good fics there too, just...a lot of bad ones as well. Heh. *sweatdrop*
Oh, speaking of Zelos/Lloyd, Mom proof read my fic, so now all I have to do is make a few changes and then code it. So it’ll probably be up in the next few days. ^_^ I’ll post here and let ya know when it’s up.
Hm.
What else?
I know there was something I wanted to say...
O.o;;; My brain is so fried...
Uh...
Well shit. I can’t remember. All well. ^^;;;
NO WAIT. I remember. Tonight! Starting at 8pm est, on Showtime Beyond they are having an Onmyoji marathon. WATCH IT!!!! Showing both 1 and 2, subbed. WATCH!! I ORDER YOU!! MWHAH-*cough* Ahem... XD
Time to get on with the uh... Well I usually say random insanity, but this entry isn’t going to be random insanity.
Believe it or not, angst and vagueness is on the way. ^^;;;
Oh and guess what? This entry isn’t going to be in the normal script format either. That’s right. I’ve decided to write it in actual third person story format. I want to portray some emotions and character depth that probably wouldn’t come over as well in script format.
From time to time, I might do this. Haven’t decided yet. Let’s see how this one goes first.
*~*~*~*~*
Previously on Rae’s journal, Kopaka managed to teleport the gang right into the middle of a warped version of Onmyoji. After lots of random insanity, it seems the world of Onmyoji has been saved and things are returning to normal. But why did Kopaka bring the gang here to start with? Why is Kopaka acting odder than usual? And why is Malba so bent out of shape? We know he’s moody, but this is ridiculous. Just what is going on? On Druu’s suggestion, Kopaka and Rae are now out to look for the moody Malba...
Two figures walked through a large forest, tall, thick trees blocking most sunlight, the path dark.
The forest seemed endless as they continued their trek in silence.
“So...Kopaka, where are we going exactly? How are we supposed to find Malba in here anyway?” The girl broke the quiet, stopping to look at her companion.
He turned, running a hand through long, messy grey hair. “Well. We’re not gonna find him. If Malba doesn’t want to be found, you don’t find him. Heh. Found that out a looong time ago.” Kopaka shrugged, tugging a bit on the hem of his indigo blue, long sleeved shirt.
The girl—Rae—sighed, turning to glance about the forest for a moment before returning her gaze to the elemental.
“So, if we can’t find him, why did Druu tell us to look for him?” Really, she loved the psychic, but sometimes she really didn’t get Druu...or well, any of the strange elementals, and demon for that matter...
“Heh. Nah. See that’s Druu’s way of telling me to talk to you,” Kopaka smirked, shaking his head.
Talking huh? About what exactly, she thought.
“About?” She then asked, glancing once again uneasily about the forest. She didn’t want to admit it, but she was worried. First Kopaka’s odd behavior, now Malba...
She knew that the moody sprite wasn’t exactly fond of humans, or her for that matter, but he had seemed... What? She really wasn’t sure. Something was off, and it worried her.
“Kopaka. What’s going on?” She asked, gazing into the cloudy blue eyes of her friend.
He smirked, shaking his head once again. “I guess I should tell you, huh?” The man then turned, walking closer to a large tree near the edge of the worn, dirt path.
Rae followed the sprite closer to the ancient, tall tree, eyeing Kopaka questioningly.
To her surprise the sprite suddenly disappeared, leaving no trace behind of his presence.
What the?
“Uh, Kopaka? Where the hell did you go?” She called, turning to scan the forest.
Still no sign.
“Uh, Kopaka?! Damn it Kopaka!” Rae muttered crossing her arms in annoyance.
Where had the insane sprite gone?
“Up here man.” Came the voice of Kopaka, from high above.
Rae turned her head, eyes focusing up to find the grey haired man sitting on a tree branch, high up in the large tree.
“Uh, what are you doing exactly?”
“Come on up man.”
“I don’t like heights...” Rae mumbled, eyeing the tree warily.
However before the girl had a chance to decide whether she’d risk the long climb up, she found herself sitting on the thick branch with Kopaka.
She blinked, looking down. Whoa. Best not to look down...
“Well that was weird...” At least the sprite had saved her from having to climb up anyway...
“It’s nice up here. For a movie anyway.” Kopaka stated, picking at a piece of bark distractedly.
Movie?
“Wait, movie? Are you saying this isn’t even real?” Rae questioned, repositioning herself on the branch so that she was facing the sprite.
“Yuup. I just you know, put us in the movie. And made a few little changes. Heheh.” He grinned, continuing to pick at a piece of bark on the limb.
So it was all just an illusion then... But what about her hair?
“Hey, so if this is all just a movie, why did that lightening bolt fry me? ...And screw up my hair...” She muttered, pulling on a lock of her now fried purple hair, courtesy of the goddess Amaterasu.
“Heheh. Sorry about that. I can fix it if you want.” Kopaka smirked.
“It’d be nice.” She replied, still pulling on a lock of hair.
The sprite laughed, and then snapped his fingers, returning the girl’s hair back to its normal shade of pink.
“Thanks.”
“No prob. Heheh.”
Well now that her hair didn’t look like something from a bad horror movie, she felt a little better. This had turned into one strange little adventure, hadn’t it? Kopaka definitely knew how to keep one from getting bored, that’s for sure. However she had a feeling things were about to get stranger. Or something. Kopaka had a reason for all of this, she wasn’t sure what, but knew it was more than just his usual gags.
She also could sense that the sprite had something he wanted to talk about, yet he seemed to be stalling. Picking at the branch, his eyes hidden by his shaggy hair.
“Kopaka. Back when we first got here...Druu said something. About this being a bad day for you. What did he mean? Is that what it’s about?” She questioned softly, watching the fidgeting sprite carefully.
He remained silent for a moment, before finally speaking. “My sister died. It’s been five years, today.”
Rae’s eyes widened, as she let out a small gasp. “Kopaka! Why didn’t you say anything before? Oh, man. I’m so sorry. I didn’t even know you had a sister...” She trailed off, not sure what to say next. She never had been good with words after all.
Kopaka looked up, a small smile on his face. “Her name was Akiona. She was pretty cool. Older than me. Smart.”
“How...um I mean...”
“She was killed. You know. Things are pretty messy where we come from. So...she didn’t make it out of the city, before it was destroyed.” He stopped, leaning his head back against the tree, closing his eyes for a moment.
Rae once again repositioned herself on the branch, risking another look down. Bad idea. Definitely no more looking down...
“You wanted to get away from it for awhile, so you brought us here? Kopaka...I’m really sorry, you know?” Damn. She wasn’t good at this.
Kopaka opened his eyes, smiling at the pink haired girl. “Nah, don’t worry about it man. I’m okay. That’s not really why we’re here. I mean it was fun, don’t get me wrong. And it helps to take your mind off of things, but I’m okay. I miss Akiona a lot, but I’m okay. I still have another sister to take care of. And a ‘job’ I guess. Heh.” The grey haired sprite put his arms behind his head, stretching out on the branch.
“Another sister? Really? How come I’ve never met her?” She didn’t even bother to question him on what the ‘job’ meant, or for more details on his sister’s death. She had learned long ago that Kopaka and his group were tight lipped about such things.
“It’s complicated. She’s a great kid, you’d like her. Name’s Nevara. But see...those of us who have family left—me and Kits-- we have to keep them safe. Hidden, you know.” Kopaka replied, closing his eyes again.
Those with family left? Rae didn’t think that sounded too good...
“You and Kitsune...are the only ones who have family? What about Malba and Druu’s family?”
“Dead.”
“Oh. Damn,” was all Rae could think to say. What else could she say?
“Kitsune has a brother. Kouji. He’s a nice little dude. I have Nevara. That’s it. And we have them hidden away. Maybe one day you’ll be able to meet them. But not now.”
Kouji. Actually Rae had met him briefly once. Kitsune had brought him, snapped at her to watch the boy and left.
He was sweet, completely the opposite of Kitsune.
Rae had only kept Kouji for roughly twenty minutes before Kitsune had returned taking the young teen with her. Rae had not seen him since.
On questioning Kitsune afterward, Rae had been told it didn’t concern her. She still was unsure as to why Kitsune had brought the boy that day, maybe he had been in some sort of danger? Kitsune must have been pretty desperate to hide him with me, Rae thought.
“I’ve met him once. Kouji. Sweet little guy actually.” She responded, running a finger along the rough bark of the limb.
“Yeah, hard to believe they’re related, huh? Heheheh.” He laughed.
“Kind of.” The pink haired girl agreed, a small smirk on her lips.
“He’s in more danger than Nevara...He’s...Different. No wonder Kits is so protective of the kid.”
“Different?”
“Yup.” Was all the sprite would say.
Rae sighed, running a hand through pink hair. Really, why did they have to be so damn secretive all the time?
“Kopaka. Who are you guys?” Well hell, why not chance asking again. Probably wouldn’t do any good –it never had before- but why not, she figured.
“We are...I dunno. We’re not the bad guys. Sometimes I don’t know if we’re the good guys either, but we’re definitely not the bad guys. We do what we can. It’s all we can do. Things are complicated Rae. It’s better for you to stay uninvolved.” He answered slowly, a serious expression on his usually carefree face.
Rae sighed. She somehow figured she’d get an answer like that.
Wait...
Was Kopaka actually being, serious?!
“Kopaka. I’ve just realized something.”
“Yeah?”
“You and I have been carrying on a normal conversation. Without any killer pink rabbits or Kopaka Water Dude!...” Rae realized with surprise.
Kopaka laughed, straightening up, and crossing his legs.
“Yeah well, let me let you in on a little secret Rae.”
“What?”
“I may not be quite as crazy as what you think I am.” He winked, a mischievous smile forming on his lips.
Wow. Rae wasn’t sure what to say to that. Somehow she had always kind of had her suspicions that there may be more to Kopaka than what meets the eye, yet it still seemed slightly surreal speaking to him like this. No pink bunnies, no “duuuuude”’s. Just Kopaka. Hm.
“Yeah. I’m kind of getting that.” She answered with a small smirk of her own.
“You know, between me, Kits, Druu and Malba? I’m probably the most emotionally stable. Scary isn’t it?” He winked.
“Actually, yeah, it is.” She replied teasingly.
So, Kopaka was the sanest of the bunch? Somehow that really didn’t surprise her as much as she would have thought. When she really stopped to think about it...
“I think maybe you act the way you do, because... Well it keeps you sane. You act crazy so that you won’t go crazy. I don’t know what you guys do, what your situation is, but I get the feeling it’s not a good one. You all have been through a lot. I can sense it. So, you act the way you do to keep yourself sane, and to keep them sane too. Am I right?” She asked, watching the sprite closely.
He simply grinned, eyes twinkling mischievously.
Rae nodded. “I thought so.”
The two sat in silence for a few minutes, as Rae processed the new bits of information. A dead sister. Another sister kept hidden. Kitsune’s brother, Kouji. How was he, ‘different’? Malba and Druu, left with no family whatsoever? Kopaka’s words, ”You know, between me, Kits, Druu and Malba? I’m probably the most emotionally stable.”
What all had these four gone through? Where, who, why? Rae was left with so many unanswered questions. Kopaka had said it would be best to stay uninvolved, but, how could she?
Another question he had yet to answer...
“So, why did you bring us here?”
Kopaka frowned, leaning back against the tree again.
“Malba.”
“Malba?”
The sprite sighed, running a hand through grey hair.
“You saw the way he’s acting. It’s getting worse.”
“He definitely bit my head off, that’s for sure. He seems, I don’t know. Something’s wrong, isn’t it?” Rae questioned, thinking back to the look in Malba’s dark eyes. "You damn humans are all the same, you know that?!?!?!" He had shouted, eyes flashing angrily, yet...
“Malba. Malba blames himself for a lot of things that aren’t his fault. Don’t take it personally, what he said. He’s just...” Kopaka trailed off with a sigh.
“What? He’s what?”
“Complicated. I brought him here as basically a test. I wanted to see if I was wrong. Unfortunately I’m not.” Kopaka answered vaguely, a frown forming on his lips.
“So you, brought him here to, test him? What do you mean Kopaka?” Rae bit her, lip trying to understand.
“You saw the way he acted. The red eyes? That’s not good. At all. Druu and I were right. He’s getting worse.”
Rae shook her head. “Will you stop being so vague? What’s wrong with Malba?” The red eyes. She had definitely seen that. It had felt... Wrong.
“Druu and I decided to bring him into a stressful situation on purpose. Of course I wanted to have full control of what was happening, just in case. I got the idea to bring him here --into an illusion-- when I was looking through your DVDs for a movie to steal—uh borrow. I figured if it got too bad I could just pull us out.” Kopaka sighed, back to picking at the tree limb.
An illusion huh. Damn real illusion. Rae had to admit, Kopaka must have a hell of a lot of power to be able to create such an illusion...
“So Druu’s in on this too. That doesn’t surprise me. I thought the whole Seimei fanboying seemed a little excessive. He was just acting, neh?” Rae decided to ignore the “steal—uh borrow” slip for now, instead thinking back to Druu’s actions. She had thought at the time he seemed to be behaving a little, suspiciously. So, that’s why, she thought.
“Mostly anyway. Heh. Yeah. See the problem is, I don’t know what to do. Malba. He’s... he just doesn’t get it. He’s letting the past get to him again. That’s never good. I’m worried.” Kopaka admitted, a frown still on his attractive, boyish face.
“So. I’m assuming if you’re worried, something must be pretty bad. Is he going to be okay?” Rae frowned, absentmindedly twirling a lock of pink hair.
“...I don’t know Rae. Really, I don’t.” The sprite sighed, frustration in his blue eyes.
“Can’t you tell me anything else?” Damn it all. She wanted to know. She didn’t care if it would be best to stay “uninvolved”. She wanted to know. She wanted to be involved.
“It’s not my place to tell ya Rae. I’ve already said too much. If he wants you to know... Then he’ll tell you. All I can really say is he blames himself for too many things, and that he can’t seem to put the past behind him, ya know? And the longer it goes on the worse he’s getting. He wasn’t always like this. But now...” The sprite once again trailed off, shaking his head.
Rae sat in silence for a few moments, thinking over what Kopaka had just said. What could Malba have in his past to affect him so?
“He gets over-protective and moody. Then he gets even moodier. Then angry. I think it’s easier for Mals to get angry. Does that make sense?” The grey haired man asked, once again picking at the hem of his shirt.
“It does. Sometimes I guess it’s easier to be angry than to deal with other emotions... Over-protective? I guess that’s why he bit my head off when I tried to ask you about, well you know, today.” She nodded, running a finger slowly across the rough tree bark, tracing invisible designs.
“Yeah.” He simply stated, a slight nod of the head.
The two once again slipped into silence, both seemingly lost in thought.
So much to think about. She wasn’t even sure where to begin.
Before she could get too lost in thought however, the sprite beside her cleared his throat, breaking the silence.
“Well. No point in sitting here moping about it man. I think I’m gonna go find that Doson guy; sic him on Sano, sounds fun, doesn’t it? Heheh.” The sprite laughed, his usual carefree, mischievous side showing through once more.
Rae smirked, shaking her head. “You’re so weird.”
“Yep. Hehehe.”
“So...what are you going to do about, you know, Malba?”
“I dunno. I need to talk to Druu and Kits. See what they think. Not much we really can do if Mals won’t let us.” He replied, a thoughtful look on his face.
“Um, okay.” Rae nodded with a small sigh.
“Oh yeah, one more thing!”
“Yeah?”
The sprite sat up, a grin overtaking his features.
“I’m out of ciggys. Can I borrow some, dude?”
Rae let out a groan, rolling her eyes. She then dug into a jean pocket, pulling out a crumpled pack of Marlboros.
“Here. And I’m not a dude.”
“Thanks man.” The sprite grabbed the pack from the pink haired girl, a smirk on his lips.
“Not a man either.”
“Hehehe.”
Rae shook her head, a small smile on her lips. He really could be such an idiot when he wanted. However it appeared Kopaka wasn’t near the fool he pretended to be. She really wasn’t surprised.
"Hey Kopaka?"
Yep?"
"I'll, uh light a candle for Akiona. I know it's not much but..."
The sprite smiled, a slightly sad expression flittering through his eyes.
"Thanks Rae. That's cool. So, anyway. I’m outta here maan. Later Raess.” With that the sprite vanished, leaving Rae alone in the tree.
...
Wait.
“HEY! Kopaka, how the hell am I supposed to get down?!? HEY!!!”
Oh well, she thought with a sigh, looking cautiously down at the ground far below. It really wasn’t that far down...
She could manage. Maybe.
She slowly scooted closer to the thick trunk of the tree, casting a few uneasy looks down.
She really didn’t like heights.
And the damn sprite had once again stolen all of her cigarettes. Oh well.
Malba...
The girl leaned her back against the tree’s stout trunk, crossing her arms, falling into deep thought.
Increasingly frequent snaps of “Damn human!” and angry eyes.
Even his illness awhile back, could that have been brought about by stress?
She sighed.
She only wished she knew more about the moody, dark sprite. His past. The real reason for his attitude, his anger.
Things had suddenly seemed to grow even more complicated. The day had definitely brought about quite a bit of discoveries to further complicate things. Sprites. Demons. Angst and anger. Ugh. Brain overload, she thought with a sigh.
So Druu and Kopaka had decided to test Malba. To see what? The red eyes? If he’d go crazy and kill everyone? What kind of test?
”You saw the way he acted. The red eyes? That’s not good. At all. Druu and I were right. He’s getting worse...”
What the hell did it all mean?
The red eyes.
Kitsune had stopped him. She had told him it was enough, and he had listened to her. He listened to Kitsune. Somehow Rae felt that held some sort of significance. Malba had listened to Kitsune.
Rae let out another sigh.
“Oh, hell I don’t know.” She muttered to herself.
There were too many things she didn’t know, didn’t understand.
Somehow she didn’t think sitting up in a tree all day would lead to any further insights, so she slowly moved to climb down the large tree.
She needed to talk to Druu. Kitsune. She had a hell of a lot of questions.
Though knowing those two, they probably won’t answer anything, she thought with a touch of annoyance.
She slowly made her way down the tree, somehow making it back to the ground without plummeting to her untimely death...
Once back on the forest ground, she brushed off her jeans, glancing around the darkened forest. Now which way was it to get back to Seimei’s place? Left or right... Uh...
“He’s an optimistic fool.” A cold voice broke into her musings, startling her.
She jumped, turning to find Malba leaning against the very same tree she had been sitting in moments before, a lit cigarette perched between his full lips.
“Malba! God, you startled me. How long have you been there?” She said, taking a step closer to the black clad sprite.
“Long enough.”
“Um, who’s an optimistic fool?” Rae then asked, watching Malba’s seemingly expressionless face closely.
“Kopaka.” He said simply, exhaling a puff of smoke.
“Uh, why do you say that?”
“He just is.”
Rae moved to stand beside the dark haired man, trying to make eye contact. He looked away instead.
“Since when do you smoke?” She asked, realizing Malba was not going to comment further as to why Kopaka ‘s “an optimistic fool”.
“Just because I don’t constantly beg for cigarettes like that idiot doesn’t mean I don’t smoke.” He stated flatly, drawing another breath full of nicotine into his lungs.
“Not good for you, ya know?”
“Oh and you have such room to talk.”
Rae smirked at that. “True. Hey, Kopaka took mine again, mind if I bum one off of you?” She asked, once again trying and failing to make eye contact with the elemental.
Malba shrugged, pulling out a box of cigarettes, tossing the box to the girl. “Keep them.”
“Thanks... Hey...” Rae looked at the box suspiciously. Marlboros...She had just lost a pack of Marlboros the other day...
“Malba?”
“Hn?”
“You stole these from me, didn’t you?”
The sprite let a small smirk form on his lips. “Maybe.”
“Thief.” Rae gently teased, a smile on her face.
Rae rummaged through her jean pockets, in search of a lighter. Oops. Must have fallen out, she thought with an internal sigh.
“Here.” Malba shrugged, pulling out a large, old fashioned lighter from one of his black coat’s pockets. He tossed the lighter to the girl.
“Thanks.” She replied as she lit the cigarette, inhaling the toxic yet somehow refreshing smoke. Nicotine good, she thought. Sure it’ll kill you, but at least it does help calm the nerves...
Rae looked down, noticing that the sprite had somehow managed to find another pair of boots. Which was a good thing, seems how Susa had kind of...uh eaten his last pair.
“I see you found some shoes.”
“Feh. Damn mutt...”
Rae let out a small laugh at that.
Malba took another puff off of his cigarette, seemingly lost in thought, when he cleared his throat, looking down at the ground.
“About...the ‘damn human’ thing. I. Uh.”
“It’s okay Malba.” She interrupted, shaking her head.
“...I wasn’t going to apologize...or...anything.” He stated, still looking down at the ground.
“Yeah, well I still say its okay. So there, you don’t have to apologize.”
“....”
They stood in silence, Malba leaning casually against the tall tree, Rae standing beside him, still holding the large silver lighter in her hand.
The pink haired girl examined the old lighter a bit closer. A heavy flip top lighter, worn and scratched from what appeared to be a lot of use. On closer inspection she found a worn design on one side. No not a design she realized, but a name.
Jinya
“Hey Malba, this is a neat lighter. Where’d you get it?” She questioned, turning the lighter over in her hands. Definitely old.
“It was a gift. Long time ago.” He answered coolly, eyes focused away from the girl.
“Oh. From a friend? Is it this Jinya person who gave it to you?” She asked, running a finger over the faded name.
“Doesn’t really matter. He’s dead.” Malba answered calmly, glancing over at the old lighter.
“Oh, uh I’m sorry.”
“Nothing to be sorry about. I’m the one who killed him after all.” Malba shrugged, taking back the lighter, returning it to a coat pocket.
“Oh... Uh...” What the hell was she supposed to say to that?
“Look, let me give you a helpful bit of advice Rae. Stop trying to figure me out. You. Kopaka. The fox, and that damn psychic. All of you. You shouldn’t bother.” He stated coolly, voice emotionless, face blank.
Rae blinked, and then looked over at the elemental questioningly. “Malba, I just, I like you okay? Even if you can be an ass, you’re still a nice guy deep down. If something’s going on with you, you can trust me. And I know you can trust the others. Kitsune, Druu, Kopaka. They all care about you.”
The dark haired elemental smirked, shaking his head. “You are an idiot. Because you’re wrong. I am not a nice guy. Don’t ever think that I am. I can trust you, you say? Well guess what? You can’t trust me. Don’t ever trust me. Get it?”
He then stepped away from the tree, walking away from the pink haired girl.
“Wait. Malba.” Rae called.
The elemental paused, yet did not look back. “What?”
“I don’t care. I don’t care what you say. I still trust ya. And I think maybe you’re the idiot, not me. Because I know that you aren’t a bad guy, regardless of what you say.” She stated firmly.
“...Idiot.” He deadpanned, and then walked further into the forest, disappearing in true elemental sprite fashion.
“Damn.” Rae sighed, taking a large draw off of her cigarette in frustration.
Today had been a long day. Starting off with Kopaka’s insane trip, now...
Now she was left feeling even more confused. More confused indeed.
Who were these people?
There was so much she didn’t know, and this day had made that even more so.... So plainly obvious.
With another slow sigh the girl stepped away from the tree, back onto the dirt path.
Lost in thought, she slowly began the walk back to Seimei’s grounds in silence, mind running with the thought of just how much she didn’t know, and didn’t understand.
It was a very long walk.
~*~*~*~*~*~
Rae: And there you have it.
Yay for character development, neh?
Confusing and vague. Angsty. Yeep. That’s me.
So what’d you think? Enjoy? Hope so.
And yes, eventually you are going to find out more about everyone. I just have a thing for making you suffer and drawing it out. Hehehe.
It feels bizarre writing about myself in third person.
The pink haired girl...

~~Kitsune layout made by Rae. This could not have been possible if not for thesims2 and all of the amazing modders out there who make such wonderful things for the sims. Rae would like to sincerely thank these remarkable people for all of their work. ^_^
Lyrics from Rise, by Origa. An incredibly lovely song. ^^
This story, odd as it may be, is Rae's and Rae's alone. Though she may not own all of the characters (specifically, Sanosuke and a few other RK characters) she most certainly owns this story. Her muses are her family, steal them and she will beat you to death with a shovel.
(A vague disclaimer is no one's friend. XD)
